Spring is Here!

The weather was beautiful today (in the 80's!) so the boys and I met friends Missy, Emma, and Noah at a park on base.  We always start at the playground, have a snack, and walk the trail around the lake and always stop at our spot where the kids like to gather sticks and throw them in the water.  What a great way to spend three hours of a gorgeous Sunday afternoon!

He said, "Look Mommy!  A 'V'!"

We tired the kids out just in time for a nap.  Yippee!

Andrew's FIRST Professional Haircut

For the past two years, Andrew really hasn't had enough hair to warrant going to a professional hairstylist; however this past week I decided that he had enough hair to pay $20 for a cut.  We went to Tangles, the place where Gavin went for his very first haircut, and, to everyone's shock, he was perfect!  He played with his Leapster Explorer and you'd think this was his 20th haircut ... not his first!  Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of the actual process since he sat on my lap and I went alone but here is a picture of the final cut.  Hopefully you can see how much cleaner it is, especially around the ears.
Blue lips from his lollipop!
After he and Gavin had their haircuts, we decided to enjoy this beautiful South Carolina weather and headed to a park on-base.

Standard : The boys always have a snack after the playground.  This time, Craisins, Fruitables, and a 100 calorie cookie pack (haha!)

Sick Baby = Lazy Sunday!

This past Sunday we were walking out the door, ready to go to church, when Gavin started complaining of a stomach ache and told me that a dinosaur had kicked him.  I wasn't sure if he was telling me the truth (not about the dinosaur, but about the stomach ache, of course!) so I asked him if he wanted to go to the playground.  He said "no" and I knew for sure that he was sick!  Needless to say, we all changed back into our pajamas and hung out at the house for the day.  It's been a long time since we've done absolutely nothing and it was a nice change.

Watching tv. That's a towel on him ... just in case his tummy decides it's really sick.
He even took a nap ... He really wasn't feeling well!
Waking up from the nap and the dinosaur kick still hurt!

Andrew hated  having Gavin sick all day ...

...But while Gavin napped, Andrew ruled the house for once!

And finally, right before bedtime, Gavin felt better and I was able to get a quick kiss. Horray!
