Easter egg hunt, Pop-pop & Grandma and more!

Our squadron held an Easter egg hunt at the squadron.  When it came time to meet the Mongo the Easter bunny I thought that we'd have a meltdown that would rival our Santa pictures but, thankfully, the boys didn't cry at all!

In case you forgot how the Christmas picture went, here's a reminder:

After pictures with the Easter bunny, it was time for an Easter egg hunt.  For those of you who don't know, I had my wisdom teeth pulled 24 hours prior to this event so I was slightly out of it during this whole process.  The following pictures show my utter confusion before deciding it was best to sit in the grass and have Pop-pop chase after the boys.

Gavin and his sweet friend, Emma, sharing candy and hilarious stories from the YMCA and Trinity.

The Easter bunny hops off into the sunset.  Thanks Mongo!

Pop-pop and Grandma came into town to help me care for the boys.  Everyone was so happy to see eachother!

The boys love playing in the bath.  They're so cute!

Here's Gavin looking at a picture of Brett and saying, "Daddy!"

Every month the base chapel puts on a dinner for deployed spouses.  It's a great time for us to get together, eat, and have the kids play.  Here's Gavin drawing while kids run crazily around him.  He was so content just coloring his Easter bunny.

Boys will be boys!

Gavin and Andrew love to get rough and wrestle around.  They are such boys!

Gavin has learned to play games on my iPhone.  His favorite is Toddler Teasers.  If you have a toddler, I would definitely recommend that you check it out!

I love Drew's feet.  I can't get enough of baby feet.

A few of us wives went out last night.  We had a great time although I think to say that the night life in Columbia needs some work is an understatement.

Hand Dance

Gavin loves to come home from Trinity and have me sing songs he has learned in school that day.  The teachers teach him actions to correlate with each song and it's so cute.  Please excuse my beautiful singing voice, I don't want to impress you all too much.

The line-up includes The Itsy Bitsy Spider, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, The Wheels on the Bus, and Jesus Loves Me (I'm awful and don't remember the words to the song).  Gavin has recently been requesting a new song but I am not familiar with whatever he is asking me ... it might be the ABC's but am not too sure.

Surprise!

We threw a surprise baby shower for Andrea this past weekend.  Her bundle of joy, Brady, was born in October, premature, so we didn't have time to throw one for her before he was born!  Karen, our commander's wife, was the brain behind the operation while I coordinated with Andrea's husband, Chris.

She's so cute.  She kept turning to me during the dinner saying things like, "I'm so confused.  Is this a shower for me?" and "Did all of these people drive out to Columbia for the shower?".  Hahaha!  YES, Andrea.  We all drove out to Columbia because we love you and are so happy for you and Chris and adorable little Brady!

Our group (Andrea is sitting to my right - I made the diaper cake and I swear it was much cuter earlier in the night.  It has a matching elephant topper but we took it off.)

Those of us who stayed later to squeeze every penny we're spending on our babysitters!!!

We went to Savannah to see Gramp's daughters, Karen and Alisha and their kids, Zachary, Zoey, and Sara.

The kids had fun playing in the courtyard

Gavin got tired after playing outside.  He kept telling me he was tired and as soon as we went in the house he layed down on the couch.  Like father like son.

Zoey and Gavin watching tv and playing with cars

I rode a bike for the first time in at least ten years!!!  I forgot how much fun it was.

While Drew napped Gavin enjoyed sitting in the courtyard.

We went over to Ryan's house to make sure things were okay.  Gavin kept running around the house saying, "Dana where?" and screaming a scream only he and Ryan share.  He ran from Ryan's room to closets looking for toys.  It was so sad but the boys did enjoy running around an empty house!
