Pajama Karate Heroes!

How could you not love these boys?!  I'm so proud to be their mom!!!

The boys doing their "cool" pose.  Gavin's trying to coach Andrew on the proper technique which is why he's looking at him in these pictures.

Heeeeeeeee-YAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!

Andrew is such a goof.  He's cracking up over his Heeeee-ya!

Kicking

LOVE this picture!

Best Friends!

Kisses and hugs before bedtime.

This is how I have to tuck Andrew in at night.  He loves to be surrounded by his stuffed toys!

Gavin wanted a photo session before bed.

Here he said, "Look Mommy!  I'm surprised!"

Love, love, love being mom to these two boys.  How could you not?!

Happy Birthday Andrew!!!

With Brett being gone (again!!!) for Andrew's birthday, we decided to keep it low key and not have a birthday party.  We had a cake on his birthday and he wore a Spiderman "Birthday Hero" pin to MOPS and the gym to let everyone know it was his extra special day!

We had a small cake and Andrew didn't get the hang of blowing the candle out so Gavin helped him.  He didn't bother eating the cake either - he only ate the frosting.

We had beautiful weather this past weekend so decided to have a fun packed birthday weekend for the birthday boy.

We went to the park on base on Saturday where the boys enjoyed running, climbing trees, checking out a tractor (or backhoe loader, as Gavin informed me), and just being boys - to include picking up sticks and peeing on trees.

Sunday we went to the Riverbanks Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Columbia.  The boys had so much fun looking at the animals and riding the tram from the zoo to the Botanical Gardens.

Botanical Gardens

(What you all should know about this picture is that the zoo doesn't allow outside food so my dad hid an orange underneath the middle strap and two water bottles on either side of Andrew.  I thought this was hilarious to hide food on Andrew)

Andrew is upset because he wanted to go to the playhouse that was right next to us.

The walk from the gardens to the zoo was so pretty and reminded me a lot of the walks my mom and I used takearound our neighborhood in Seattle.  This is seriously the steepest hill I've walked since living in South Carolina.

Zoo

Not to toot my own horn, but look at this picture at a zoom and then the following at even closer zoom (I have no idea what the technical terms are).  This camera is amazing! These pictures are untouched and look at the coloring and detail!!!

Waiting for the tram back to our car, which was parked at the gardens - we didn't want to walk up the hill!

We met up with William, Andrew's friend who was born a day after Andrew, who was also celebrating his birthday at the zoo.  These are the best pictures I could get!

I have taken a picture of the boys with this tiger every time we've been to the zoo - with the exception of the first time since Andrew couldn't even sit up at the time.  Here they are!
