Daily Dose of Cute!

Gavin fell asleep on my mom's bed and slept there for two hours straight!

Gavin and Ryan eating fruit.

So, as I said before, Andrew loves to stand and can support his weight and hold his balance fairly well. Here is a picture of Andrew after standing for 10 seconds or so (supported by the pillow and my mom grabbing his arm right before he started to topple over)...
Standing
And not standing. Hahahahaha.

Andrew has a cough and I was concerned due to the swine flu so I took him to the pediatrician. Turns out he only has a cold but he was so conjested so the doctor gave him a breathing treatment. I put a misting face mask over his mouth and nose to clear his sinuses and he loved it so much that he fell asleep. I admit I took a few swigs of it myself. It smelled so good!
Waiting for the doctor.

Sleeping Angels

I was checking on Gavin and Andrew while they were sleeping the other night and found them in the same position. So cute!
Future musician? Here's Gavin dinking around with Mommy's violin. Now if we could only buy a piano!

Little naked Andrew. It's almost 90 degrees today! HOT.

Hanging Out

I love that Gavin cuddles. He used to hate it!

As a joke I stuck Gavin's golf clubs down his shirt. Little did I know he'd love it and not want me to take them out!

Our friends Kevin and Kate Crofton had a son, William, the day after Andrew was born but you can't tell by his size! Can you believe he was born almost a month early?!

Here's William's mom, Kate. Those ARE NOT her real teeth! They're fake Hillbilly teeth. This is the only picture I have of us together thus, my only option to post.

Little Drew

Just because he's so precious and such a sweet, sweet baby...

What Andrew has been up to...

Sleeping!
Andrew goes to bed at 8pm and sleeps until 6:30am. Lucky me!!!

Sitting in my bumbo.
Andrew likes to sit and watch Mommy work in the kitchen. Hmmmmm. Sounds familiar.

Playing with my big brother!
Andrew and Gavin are so cute together. I'm so glad they're close in age. Everyone told us we were crazy but it's not as bad as we thought it would be. I'm sure it helps that they are both such easy going boys. They must take after their mommy.

The boys first time in their bouncy.

A Day at the Zoo!

After a short visit home, Daddy has left on yet another 'work trip'. This time he got to catch a commercial flight rather than military so after dropping him off at the airport my mom and I decided to take the boys to the zoo! Gavin didn't care much for it his first time around (almost exactly a year ago) but he had so much fun on his second trip. He ran everywhere . Even slipping into the tortoise exhibit!

Pointing at the flamingos.

How cute is this picture?

Gavin loves birds.

Looking at sloths.

Stinky elephants!

Gavin and a fake tortoise. Unfortunately he tried this on a real one too. Okay, not quite, but he did run between the wooden stakes into the actual exhibit and was headed toward them before my mom chased him down!

Sneaky mister.

See the tortoise behind him?

Just another leisurely day at the zoo.

Andrew!

My mom carrying Andrew.

This is how he likes to be carried. He likes to stand on your hands. He literally supports all of his weight, we just have to help with the balance.

Me and my boys at the zoo!

Gavin all tuckered out after a long morning of running through the zoo.

Gavin pointing out all of Andrew's features. Nose, mouth, eyes, forehead, chin, etc. etc. etc.

So tiny!

Easter 2009

With Brett just getting back in town and then promptly throwing his back out, we didn't do much for Easter this year. Luckily we have great neighbors who were prepared with plastic eggs and candy for Gavin to find around our yards.

Gavin with his treasures.

I had a basket for him but he preferred to carry the eggs. It was so cute, he even held a few with his chin if he couldn't hold anymore in his little hands.

Ryan coming over to our house. Gavin's room is the window to the right and Ryan always runs up and peeps in to see his best friend. They'll talk to each other for a bit and then Ryan will come to our door to be let in to play. They're so cute. We're going to be so sad when they move!

Dana helping the boys with their candy.

Gavin was sad but so cute when I decided that he had enough chocolate.

A close up of my angel.

Gavin last Easter. They grow so fast ...

Here we are sitting around watching Nogin...
Have I mentioned how much I love my boys and being a mom?!?!?!

Gavin's enormous size 7.5 feet, Andrew's tiny little toes, and my veiny hands. I know.

I think that this is crazy. So many people tell me that Andrew and Gavin look alike but for some reason I never thought that they did (aside from when they were first born). Gavin has my skin color and Andrew is so fair. Gavin has a round face and Andrew's is more narrow. Gavin had a head full of hair and Andrew has a mullet. Gavin has my big forehead and Andrew has his dad's tiny forehead and hairline... Well, I took a picture of Andrew playing "Up-Bong, Dip-bong" (Don't ask. I think my mom came up with the game's name) and realized that they do look alike! It also looks like Gavin had very light skin when he was younger too. Let's cross our fingers that Andrew darkens up a little!

Andrew at 2.5 months (I'm even wearing the same jeans!)
